It holds the post in winds of 120 mph, and its 360 degree shear point lets the post break away from any direction a vehicle hits it, so the post does not strike the windshield or roof. The base stays bolted down for reuse.

Fits 2-3/8" outside diameter round steel posts from 8 to 16 gauge. A good fit for sidewalks, parking garages, medians and other paved areas.

Installation Notes

Drill three holes in the concrete using the base as a guide, secure the base with the three included bolts, then attach the sign post with two bolts. Installation hardware included. Not for asphalt: asphalt slowly gives way under steady force, so expansion anchors loosen in it within days. Post sold separately.

//cdn.shopify.com/s/files/1/0749/8527/5532/files/snapn-safe-round-post-surface-mount-breakaway.jpg?v=1791589446
