The W3-1 warns drivers of a stop sign ahead that may not be visible in time to stop safely. Black stop-ahead symbol on a yellow retroreflective background. Used under MUTCD Chapter 2C where sight distance, road geometry, or high approach speeds require advance warning of the upcoming stop condition.

Two sizes are available. The 30" x 30" is for single-lane roads. The 36" x 36" is for multi-lane roads and expressways. Can be paired with the Stop Ahead Plaque (W3-1AP) for enhanced visibility. Sign post, mounting hardware, and brackets are sold separately.
