Description
U-Channel posts are the most widely used sign post system in the country. The 2 lb/ft weight handles most standard sign installations. The 1.12 lb/ft weight is designed for smaller signs and roadside delineator applications.
The 3.5' length is a base post for breakaway installations, it stays in the ground and connects to a taller top post through a breakaway coupling. Sign post, mounting hardware, and brackets are sold separately.
NOTE: 8' posts and taller can NOT ship UPS due to size restrictions.

Installation & Hardware Notes
Mounting hardware is sold separately. For most sign installations, pair this post with U-channel sign mounting hardware sized for the selected post weight. For vandal-prone areas, consider vandal-resistant hardware. For breakaway installations, use the 3.5 ft base post with a compatible breakaway system according to your project requirements.
Final post selection should be based on sign size, mounting height, wind exposure, ground conditions, local code requirements, and the specifications provided by the project owner or agency.
