What can go on the second line?
Anything short that fits: a neighborhood name, Private Road, a building name, a year, or a family name on a gift sign.
Can the second line be as big as the street name?
No. To fit two lines on one blade, the second line prints smaller. For two full-size names, order two signs or ask us about a taller custom blade.

When one line is not enough for the sign
Add a smaller second line under the street name for a neighborhood, a building, or a note like Private Road. Everything prints on a flat .080" aluminum blade, on both faces, in 3M reflective sheeting.
- A smaller text line below the street name
- Prefix and suffix still available on the top line
- Border line available, printed in the letter color
Line sizes
With a line under the name, a 6" tall blade carries 3" capitals on top and 1" capitals below, and a 9" blade carries 4" and 1 3/4".
Private roads and public streets
The MUTCD's two-line street name sign is at least 15" tall, so a second line on our 6" or 9" blades is too small for a public street. Use this one on private roads, campuses, and resorts, or as a gift sign.
Choosing the length
Both lines have to fit between the ends of the blade. The designer measures the longer line and marks the blades that hold it.
One line is enough? Order the flat street name sign instead.
