Put your message on the shape everyone notices
The octagon is the most recognized sign shape on the road, so it gets noticed even with your own words on it. People use it for firm private-property messages: NO TRESPASSING, PRIVATE DRIVE, SLOW DOWN, or a gate rule.
- Backgrounds in red, white, yellow, orange, green, blue, brown, black, and two fluorescent colors
- Your text fitted inside the eight sides
- On dark colors the border runs right along the edge, like a real stop sign
Keep it off public roads
On streets and highways the octagon is reserved for STOP, so an octagon with other words belongs on private property: driveways, farms, campuses, and lots. If your message is not a stop, a color other than red keeps drivers from mistaking it for one.
