The Bump sign warns drivers of an abrupt vertical surface change in the roadway ahead. In a work zone, it is used in temporary traffic control applications under MUTCD Part 6 where milling, paving lifts, utility cuts, manhole covers, or temporary surface treatments create a raised section that could affect vehicle handling.

This is the construction (orange) version of the W8-1 sign, used during active work-zone conditions. The permanent yellow version is used for long-term roadway features and is sold as a separate product. Choose the sign size based on roadway type and required visibility. The 30" x 30" is the smallest size offered in this listing and is commonly used for lower-speed or low-volume temporary traffic control applications. The 36" x 36" is standard for conventional roads. The 48" x 48" is for expressways and freeways. Manufactured on .080" rustproof aluminum with rounded corners and pre-punched mounting holes. Hardware sold separately. 48" signs ship truck freight.
