This sign warns drivers that deaf or hearing-impaired children may be present in the area. Black "DEAF CHILD AREA" legend on a yellow retroreflective background. Installed in residential neighborhoods, near schools for the deaf, and other areas where hearing-impaired children may not hear approaching vehicles.

Three sizes are available. The 24" x 24" is for low-volume roads with speed limits of 30 MPH or less. The 30" x 30" is for single and multi-lane roads. The 36" x 36" is for expressways. Sign post, mounting hardware, and brackets are sold separately.
