The Flagman Ahead sign is the text-legend version of the W20-7 flagger warning. It warns drivers that a flagger is controlling traffic ahead in the work zone. Used in temporary traffic control applications under MUTCD Part 6 as an alternative to the W20-7 symbol version. The text legend may be preferred in jurisdictions or situations where the written message provides clearer communication to drivers.
