Lane Reduction Left Warning Sign W4-2L

The W4-2L gives advance notice that the left lane ends ahead and traffic must merge right. Black lane transition symbol on a yellow retroreflective background, per MUTCD Chapter 2C.

Five sizes are currently available. At a plant entrance or other low-speed private property where two inbound lanes narrow to one, an 18" x 18" or 24" x 24" sign does the job. The 30" x 30" is for low-volume roads posted at 30 MPH or less. The 36" x 36" is for single-lane and multi-lane roads. The 48" x 48" is for expressways and freeways. Sign post, mounting hardware, and brackets are sold separately.
