The W11-21 warns of moose crossing the road ahead. A moose is tall and heavy enough that a collision is often deadly, and it is hard to see at night, so the sign is posted where crossings are frequent. Black moose symbol on a yellow retroreflective background, per MUTCD Chapter 2C.

Five sizes are currently available. The 24" x 24" is the minimum size, for low-volume roads posted at 30 MPH or less. The 30" x 30" is the standard size for single-lane conventional roads. The 36" x 36" is for multi-lane roads and expressways. The 48" x 48" is oversized for enhanced conspicuity. For a private camp road or lodge drive, an 18" x 18" is also offered, below the MUTCD minimum size. Sign post, mounting hardware, and brackets are sold separately.
