Shoulder Work Sign W21-5

The W21-5 alerts drivers to work activity on the road shoulder. Black "SHOULDER WORK" legend on a fluorescent orange retroreflective background. Used under MUTCD Part 6 for temporary traffic control where shoulder construction, maintenance, or mowing is in progress.

There are four sizes. The 24" x 24" is meant for mowing and landscaping crews working along campus roads, cemetery lanes, or private estate drives. MUTCD roadway classifications apply only to the three larger signs. The 30" x 30" is for low-volume roads. The 36" x 36" is for conventional single and multi-lane roads. The 48" x 48" is for expressways and freeways. The 30" and 36" sizes mount to a single post with two 3/8" holes at top and bottom. The 48" size requires a two-post mount with four 3/8" holes.

Sign post, mounting hardware, and brackets are sold separately.

NOTE: 48" signs ship truck freight.
