The R2-10 sign marks the beginning of a zone where traffic violations carry increased fines. Black BEGIN HIGHER FINES ZONE legend on a white retroreflective background. Used in school zones, work zones, residential safety corridors, and other areas where state or local law authorizes elevated penalties for speeding, reckless driving, or other moving violations.

Three sizes are available. The 24" x 30" is for single-lane and multi-lane roads. The 36" x 48" is for expressways and oversized installations needing enhanced conspicuity. The 48" x 60" is for freeway use. Sign post, mounting hardware, and brackets are sold separately. 48" x 60" signs ship truck freight.
