Double Left Turn Lane Control Sign R3-8L

An advance lane control sign for an approach with two left-turn lanes: the left lane must turn left, and the next lane may turn left or go straight. Posted ahead of the intersection where the lanes split, it lets drivers pick their lane early (MUTCD Section 2B.30).

The MUTCD sets the height at 30" on conventional roads and 36" when oversized and lets the width vary with the lanes shown; 30" x 30" and 36" x 36" are the standard two-lane sizes. The 48" x 48" is a larger size beyond the MUTCD table. If the approach has more lanes than the two shown, the MUTCD calls for a LEFT LANE plaque (R3-5bP) above the sign. Sign post, mounting hardware, and brackets are sold separately.
