Double Arrow Warning Sign W12-1

The W12-1 tells drivers they may pass on either side of an island, pier or other object in the road, with the two paths joining again or splitting off beyond it. It is mounted near the nose of an island, or on the face of the pier itself (MUTCD Section 2C.23). Two black arrows on a yellow retroreflective diamond.

Five sizes are currently available. The 30" x 30" is the MUTCD size for single-lane roads and the 36" x 36" for multi-lane roads and expressways. The 18" x 18" and 24" x 24" are smaller versions for parking lots, garages and private drives, and the 48" x 48" is a larger size beyond the MUTCD table. Sign post, mounting hardware, and brackets are sold separately.
