East Route Marker Plaque M3-2

Shows that the route below it runs eastbound. Cardinal plaques describe the general direction of the whole route, even where a local stretch bends another way, which is why a road signed EAST can briefly point north or south.

The plate color follows the route sign: an eastbound Interstate takes the blue plate with white letters, a county road the blue plate with yellow letters. Every plate keeps the taller first letter that cardinal plaques need; white runs from the standard 24" x 12" up to the oversized 36" x 18", with a 30" x 15" between them, and the blue plates are 24" x 12". Sign post, mounting hardware, and brackets are sold separately.
