The W21-1 is the standard diamond-shaped warning sign used to alert drivers to workers present in or near the roadway. Black worker symbol on a fluorescent orange retroreflective background. Required under MUTCD Part 6 for temporary traffic control in construction and utility work zones.

Three sizes match MUTCD roadway classifications. The 30" x 30" is for low-volume roads. The 36" x 36" is for conventional single and multi-lane roads. The 48" x 48" is for expressways and freeways. The 30" and 36" sizes mount to a single post with two 3/8" holes at top and bottom. The 48" size requires a two-post mount with four 3/8" holes.
