Narrow Bridge Construction Sign W5-2

Bridge widening and deck repairs often leave less room on the bridge than on the road leading up to it. The orange W5-2 warns of the tighter crossing while there is still space for two-way traffic. Black NARROW BRIDGE legend on an orange retroreflective background, per MUTCD Part 6.

Four sizes are currently available. The 30" x 30" is the MUTCD minimum, allowed only on low-volume rural roads, local streets and roads with operating speeds of 30 MPH or less. The 36" x 36" is the standard work zone size for conventional roads. The 48" x 48" is for freeways and expressways. For bridge work on private property, a 24" x 24" is also made, smaller than the MUTCD minimum. Sign post, mounting hardware, and brackets are sold separately.
