Road Closed to Thru Traffic Sign R11-4

The R11-4 is used in towns and cities where a street is closed some distance ahead, but people who live or work along it can still drive in as far as the closure. A Detour Arrow sign (M4-10) normally goes just below it to send through traffic around. Black ROAD CLOSED TO THRU TRAFFIC legend on a white retroreflective background, per MUTCD Part 6.

This sign comes in the 60" x 30" size the MUTCD lists for it and is often mounted on a Type 3 barricade. Sign post, mounting hardware, and brackets are sold separately.
