The W5-1 warns of a reduction in the width of the traveled road ahead, where the pavement gets narrower but the number of lanes stays the same. Black ROAD NARROWS legend on a yellow retroreflective background, per MUTCD Chapter 2C.

Three sizes are currently available. The 30" x 30" is the minimum size, for single-lane roads. The 36" x 36" is the standard size for conventional roads and the minimum for multi-lane roads. The 48" x 48" is for expressways and freeways, or oversized for enhanced conspicuity. Sign post, mounting hardware, and brackets are sold separately.
