The S3-1 warns drivers that school buses stop ahead for student pick-up and drop-off. Black school bus symbol on a fluorescent yellow-green retroreflective background. Required under MUTCD Part 7 for school areas where buses regularly stop on the roadway.

Three sizes are available. The 30" x 30" is for single-lane roads. The 36" x 36" is for multi-lane roads. The 48" x 48" is for expressways and enhanced conspicuity. Fluorescent yellow-green sheeting is required for all school zone warning signs per MUTCD. Can be paired with the School Plaque (S4-3P) or Ahead Plaque (W16-9P) for enhanced messaging. Sign post, mounting hardware, and brackets are sold separately. 48" signs ship truck freight.
