Shoulder Drop-Off Plaque W8-17P

The W8-17P spells out what the Shoulder Drop-Off symbol sign shows, for drivers who may not read the picture at a glance. The MUTCD lets it be mounted below the W8-17 sign (Section 2C.29). Black SHOULDER DROP-OFF legend on a yellow retroreflective background.

Three sizes are currently available. The 24" x 18" is the MUTCD size for conventional roads, the 30" x 24" for expressways and the 36" x 30" for freeways or oversized signs, so the plaque matches the sign above it. Sign post, mounting hardware, and brackets are sold separately.
