The R1-5eL sign is used at uncontrolled multi-use trail crossings to instruct drivers to stop at the marked stop line in advance of pedestrians and trail users in the crosswalk. Per MUTCD 11th Edition Section 2B.19, this sign is used where state or local law specifically requires drivers to stop for pedestrians in a trail crossing. The left-pointing arrow directs the message toward the lane being warned.

Per MUTCD, this sign should only be used as a supplement to a Trail Crossing (W11-15) warning sign with a diagonal downward-pointing arrow plaque. Standard size is 36" x 42". The right-arrow version (R1-5eR) is available as a separate listing. Sign post, mounting hardware, and brackets are sold separately.
