Upward-pointing chevron stripes set the OM3-C apart from the left and right Type 3 markers. The MUTCD calls for this center pattern when traffic may pass on either side of an obstruction, such as a pier or sign support in the middle of a split roadway. Place it on the face of the object that oncoming drivers see first.

For public roads choose the 12" x 36" marker; the 6" x 18" works on campuses, parking areas and other private property. The DG3 Fluorescent Yellow option gives this marker the strongest color in daylight.
