The OM4-2 puts nine red retroreflective dots on a black diamond. It does the same job as the other Type 4 markers, telling drivers the road ends, and the black background gives the red dots strong contrast in daylight. Post it at the end of a dead-end street, a closed road segment, or a private road that stops at a gate or field.

One version is available: 18" x 18" with High Intensity Prismatic dots on aluminum. Pair it with an advance warning sign such as DEAD END or NO OUTLET, which the MUTCD recommends ahead of the end of the road.
