No Hitchhiking (Text) Sign R9-4a

The word alternate to the No Hitchhiking symbol sign, with NO HITCH HIKING on three lines (MUTCD Section 2B.56). Pick it where the meaning has to be plain to everyone, including visitors who may not know the thumb symbol.

At 18" x 24" it meets the MUTCD size for conventional roads; the 12" x 18" is the MUTCD minimum, meant for low-volume rural roads with speeds of 30 mph or less. Sign post, mounting hardware, and brackets are sold separately.
