The W20-1 is the standard diamond-shaped warning sign used in advance of construction and utility work zones. Black "ROAD WORK AHEAD" legend on a fluorescent orange retroreflective background. Required under MUTCD Part 6 for temporary traffic control.

Three sizes match MUTCD roadway classifications. The 30" x 30" is for low-volume roads. The 36" x 36" is for conventional single and multi-lane roads. The 48" x 48" is for expressways and freeways. The 30" and 36" sizes mount to a single post. The 48" requires a two-post mount.

This sign ships with the "AHEAD" distance legend. Additional distance legends (500 FT, 1000 FT, 1500 FT, 1/2 Mile, 1 Mile) are available as separate listings. Hardware sold separately.

NOTE: 48" signs ship truck freight.
