Shoulder Ends Construction Sign W8-25

When a work zone takes away the paved shoulder, for example where barrier wall or equipment sits on it, the orange W8-25 tells drivers there is nowhere to pull over ahead. Post it before the point where the shoulder stops. Black SHOULDER ENDS legend on an orange retroreflective background, per MUTCD Part 6.

Four sizes are currently available. The 30" x 30" is the MUTCD minimum, allowed only on low-volume rural roads, local streets and roads with operating speeds of 30 MPH or less. The 36" x 36" is the standard work zone size for conventional roads. The 48" x 48" is for freeways and expressways. We also make a 24" x 24" for private roads under construction, a size below the MUTCD minimum. Sign post, mounting hardware, and brackets are sold separately.
