The W9-1R warns that the right lane ends ahead and traffic in it must merge left, for example where a climbing lane or an added lane drops. Black RIGHT LANE ENDS legend on a yellow retroreflective background, per MUTCD Chapter 2C.

Three sizes are currently available. The 30" x 30" is the minimum size, for single-lane roads. The 36" x 36" is the standard size for conventional roads and the minimum for multi-lane roads. The 48" x 48" is for expressways and freeways, or oversized for enhanced conspicuity. Sign post, mounting hardware, and brackets are sold separately.
